This notice covers AthenaIQ Social Manager, our internal Meta application for authorized management of AthenaIQ’s Facebook Page and Instagram professional account. Command Center access is restricted to our authorized owner. Our general Privacy Policy covers the wider website and services.
Information received when connected
When an authorized owner connects an account, the application receives an access token, granted permissions, expiration information, and the identifiers and names of Facebook Pages and linked Instagram accounts returned by Meta. The token is encrypted before storage.
For activity subscribed through Meta, notifications can contain Meta-provided identifiers and usernames, comment or message text, related post or message identifiers, and event times. The application retains a bounded copy of each supported notification; oversized individual notifications retain event metadata without the text payload.
We do not request your Facebook or Instagram password or payment-card details. Do not send passwords, access tokens, or payment-card information in messages.
Purpose and access
The connection uses account information to display connection status and granted permissions and records subscribed notifications. As inbox features are enabled, the authorized owner can read stored comment and message text in the private Command Center, write reply drafts, preview them and approve individual replies. Reply sending remains disabled until separately enabled. This connection does not automatically post or reply.
When reply sending is enabled, approved Instagram comment replies are submitted as public replies and approved message replies are submitted privately through Meta. Reply records can contain the drafted text, account and destination identifiers, approval information, attempt time, outcome and a provider identifier. A Page access token needed for a message reply is requested for that attempt and held only in memory; it is not stored, logged or shown to the owner.
This module does not send stored notifications to an AI provider or use them for advertising or profiling. We do not sell this information. We will update this notice before enabling different uses.
Hosting and security
Cloudflare hosts application processing and storage for AthenaIQ. Meta supplies account information and subscribed notifications. Access tokens are encrypted before storage; application logs contain operational codes and counts rather than comment or message content. No system can guarantee absolute security.
Information is disclosed to the service providers identified here as needed to operate this connection, or where required by applicable law.
Retention
Notification copies have a 30-day retention target, measured from first receipt. Cleanup is scheduled to run without new incoming activity. Retries do not extend the retention period. Platform interruptions or application failures may delay cleanup, and AthenaIQ must resolve those failures. If storage reaches its capacity, new notifications are refused rather than overwriting existing ones; Meta may retry them.
Reply drafts, approvals and attempt records use the source notification’s retention deadline, so creating or sending a reply does not start a new 30-day period. Approvals are single-use and expire within ten minutes or sooner when the source notification or permitted reply window expires. Expired notifications and reply records are excluded from the private inbox even if storage cleanup is delayed.
The encrypted connection record is retained until it is disconnected or replaced. Pending sign-in checks expire after ten minutes; fingerprints used to detect sign-in replay have a 24-hour retention target.
Deletion removes records from active application storage. Cloudflare’s database recovery history may retain earlier states for up to 30 further days. If a recovery is performed, previously fulfilled deletion requests must be reapplied.
Deletion requests
Follow our Social Manager Data Deletion Instructions, or email info@athenaiqtech.com with the subject “Data deletion request.” Include your Meta username and the AthenaIQ account you contacted. We may request limited information needed to verify the request. Do not send passwords, access tokens, or identity documents.
We will respond to verified requests under applicable privacy requirements. The current deletion operation removes all stored notifications and reply records together with the application connection record, rather than selecting an individual person’s notifications. It does not remove original comments, messages, sent replies or accounts held by Meta.
